Getting started
Who: Akil El-Aimen
What: An old school mage who refuses to bend to the changing society
Where: A modern world where magic is mixed in with day to day life, takes place mainly in akils shop and home, the (name undecided)
When: Modern times with technology intermixed with magic
Why: Because this was the way his mother taught him and tradition is important, he refuses to admit hes ever wrong and so his way, the old way is the right way.
What is my character's goal?
His goal is to be left alone by society and to live his life in peace, unfortunately people just keep coming back. He quietly wishes he could get along more but his pride won't let him. It doesn't help that people often mock his ways and that leads him to fight back.
What is the starting point of the story?

Is there conflict? What is it over?
(Man vs Society) He used to be a well-known mage in his younger years before he grew to appreciate his mothers traditions, many people come back to bother him over his choice to abandon magic and try to get him to return. He used to be a skilled architect designing some of the top buildings in society before he decided to leave.
What is my characters reaction (not action) to the conflict?
Frustration, anger, resentment, and passion. He refuses to let his mothers ways die out, even if it leaves him poor and alone.
What does my character need to learn?
Compromise, you don't need to abandon the modern world to keep with traditions. He does have friends he shouldnt just push away and he shouldn't forget the things that once brought him joy. To keep up with his mothers ways, and to bring them back to society rather than just hiding himself away.
