Getting started
When considering character, questions to ask yourself :
What is my character's goal?
What is the starting point of the story?
Is there conflict? What is it over?
What is my characters reaction (not action) to the conflict?
What does my character need to learn?
Does my ending relate to my beginning?
Who's there? Where is there? What are the characters doing? What happens to them while doing so? What they decide to do? What are the results of their decisions?
Who: Akil El Aimen,
What: A nouveau riche man gets caught up in something quite outside his base of knowledge
Where: New York, USA
When: 1920's
Why: He wanted to support his family, by any means necessary
Akil's goal in life is to make things as good as possible for his younger sister and mother, he doesn't care what he has to do in order to accomplish this, even if it means working for some shady dieties.
The starting point of the story would be as Akil walking into a building and his interactions with the workers, leading up to his meeting and the start of his deal with a ' devil '.
He has to work to collect souls even though its something he disagrees with morally
A new world is revealed but he just wants to pay off his debt and never think of this again
